Summer Fun at the Watersports Camp!
For eight weeks throughout the months of May, June and July, children between the ages of 6 to 18 enjoy a wide variety of watersports activities at Eckerd College. From Waterskiing to Windsurfing, Fun and Skills Sailing to Exploring Marine Life, the Waterfront provides a wide array of classes designed to engage children both mentally and physically while still being enjoyable.
Our class instructors are also students at Eckerd College, many of whom call the Waterfront a second home during the academic year. They are not only familiar with the Waterfront’s facilities but are also at home in the waters of Frenchman’s Creek and Boca Ciega Bay. We couldn’t ask for a better or more enthusiastic group of instructors for our campers.
Many of the children that attend our Watersports camp have been coming every summer for years, with new campers often returning the following year. And while all our classes are for beginners, many campers, like our water-skiers and wake boarders, build on previous experience, learning new skills, and are even willing to help out our more inexperienced campers. Classes like Fishing and Exploring Marine Life bring in almost everything our waters could offer, from redfish to sea trout, starfish to seahorses. This year our explorers were even lucky enough to pet a stingray while out collecting!
Friends of the Waterfront members receive a 10% discount off of all summer camp classes! For more information, please visit our website or call us at 727-864-8288!
