Watersports Camp

Waterfront Program

Sailing Fun and Skills (Ages 6 & 7)

A sailing pram is an excellent teaching boat for young sailors and this class gives every child the opportunity to experience how to maneuver a sailboat. Everyone works together to prepare the boats at the beginning of class and then set sail to learn and practice the "skill of the day." In an environment focused on fun, the second half of the week is filled with races and sailing games such as "Sponge Tag." The prams never leave the safety of Frenchman's Creek, a perfect place for a young child's first experience with sailing. The children enrolled influence the flow of this course and the differences each week make this an excellent class to take more than once.
