Hello and welcome!

My name is Gigi D’Amico and I am here to be your resource for finding the school that assists in making your dreams into reality. As a recent Eckerd graduate, I am delighted to be back at my alma mater and advocate the distinctive Eckerd experience that captures the hearts and minds of our students. During my time at Eckerd, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Italy for a language immersion trip. Eckerd gave me the opportunity to leave the country for the first time, become proficient in a language, and make fabulous relationships with people from around the world! Additionally, I had the liberty of making my own concentration, a blend of two different areas of study into one. In the course of crafting my undergraduate degree, I worked very closely with my two faculty mentors to design and execute a ‘major’ that fit what I was interested in. I studied Art Management, the perfect blend of nonprofit management and my love for art history. Our mentorship program really connects students with faculty to give them insights on how to be successful not only at Eckerd, but in their desired career path. From internships, to letters of recommendations, to graduate school opportunities, or just an ear to listen to you, your mentor is there for you during your academic career. If you want to learn more about creating your own major, I would love to chat with you on the process! Eckerd is a place to be you, and if you do not know who you are, we can help you become the best version of yourself!

Eckerd is truly a place that changes your life. I am proof! Eckerd has changed mine for the better, let it change yours.

Fun Fact: My last name in Italian means “of the friend.” In essence, my name is Gigi the Friend. Let me be there to help you tackle a decision as grand as college! I am your friend, your counselor, and someone to help you become who you want to be!

In Bocca al Lupo!
