Academic Billing Appeal and Procedure Policy<\/h2>\n[\/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”32″][vc_column_text css=”” text_direction=”default”]The following is the appeals process for students who would like to dispute non-parking financial charges and amounts due on their Eckerd College student account.<\/p>\n
    \n
  1. Students should meet with a Student Account Representative to discuss the amount and nature of the disagreement and the reason why the student feels the charge is incorrect.<\/li>\n
  2. This meeting should occur within (60) days<\/strong><\/span> of the initial billing of a disputed charge.<\/li>\n
  3. The Student Account Representative reviews and responds within 2 business days to the student’s dispute.<\/li>\n
  4. If the response is considered incorrect by the student, the student may appeal by completing the appeal form<\/a> within (30) days of the initial meeting.<\/li>\n
  5. The completed form should be submitted to the Bursar who will present the appeal to the Appeals Committee.<\/li>\n
  6. The members of the Appeal Committee are as following:\n
      \n
    1. Registrar<\/li>\n
    2. Financial Aid Director<\/li>\n
    3. Bursar<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      The committee will meet on a monthly basis or as often as necessary to review and make the appropriate decisions on pending appeals. Once a decision is made, a response letter with an explanation of the decision will be E-mailed to the student’s college domain electronic address.<\/p>\n
