Professor of Chemistry
After graduate school he worked three years at General Motors as a research scientist before coming to Eckerd College in 1981. At Eckerd he has collaborated with researchers at the University of North Carolina and the University of Tennessee. His current work involves the application of analytical methods, particularly electrochemical techniques, to marine chemistry, and involves active collaboration with marine chemists at the University of South Florida’s Bayboro campus. In addition to being part of Eckerd’s chemistry department, Dr. Soli is also an Associate Professor of Marine Science. He teaches introductory chemistry classes, analytical chemistry, and instrumental methods of analysis.
