Eckerd Archives<\/h2>\n[\/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”32″][vc_column_text]The mission of the Eckerd College Archives is to collect, identify, preserve, and organize items – written, visual, and electronic – related to the history of Florida Presbyterian College\/Eckerd College; and, by making these resources available, to educate and inform current and future members of the college community concerning the origins, development, programs, and goals of the College.[\/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”32″][vc_column_text]<\/span><\/p>\n

Armacost Library building. Many of the unique materials within the archives cannot be replaced and do not circulate. In addition, some materials may have restricted access.<\/p>\n

The Archives are open for researchers by appointment only on Tuesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. \u2013 noon and 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. Appointments must be made at least 48 hours in advance so that we have time to prepare materials and confirm the availability of staff. Appointments may be scheduled through our Archives Appointment form<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Archives serve the Eckerd College community, including faculty, staff, and students. Student appointments related to a class take precedence over other appointments. When you arrive for your appointment, please check in at the Library Circulation desk on the first floor. Visits are limited to two (2) hour windows and cannot be extended. Additional appointments can be made as necessary.<\/p>\n

Before reviewing any materials, you will be asked to sign a copy of the material handling policy. Please make sure your hands are clean and that you leave any personal belongings in the storage area provided.<\/p>\n
