Forty students will be inducted on May 2 as the inaugural class of Eckerd College’s chapter of the Beta Beta Beta National Biological Honor Society (TriBeta).<\/h3>\n[\/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”32″][vc_column_text]The Kappa Delta Epsilon chapter was awarded to the College in March at a regional meeting of the organization, said Cory Krediet<\/a>, assistant professor of marine science<\/a> and biology<\/a>.<\/p>\n

TriBeta is a national biology honor society<\/a> for students dedicated to improving the understanding and appreciation of biological study and extending boundaries of human knowledge through scientific research. Since its founding in 1922, more than 200,000 people have been accepted into lifetime membership, and more than 626 chapters have been established throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico.<\/p>\n

Eckerd\u2019s inaugural class includes the following seniors and juniors who list biology as at least one of their majors:<\/p>\n
