She got to see Latin American communities up close on her two <a href=\"\/service-learning\/\">Spring Break Service Trips<\/a> to aid economic and agricultural programs in Nicaragua. But it was Eckerd\u2019s culture that made her want to experience that world firsthand.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom Eckerd I learned to have confidence in my abilities, in myself, and to not be afraid to take up space and claim what\u2019s mine,\u201d Isha laughed. \u201cThere is a diversity of thought and background and upbringing [at Eckerd] that helps you see how people came to be where they are \u2026 That allowed me to see that the same would be true in going and serving in Guatemala.\u201d[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row type=&#8221;in_container&#8221;
