In the Classroom<\/h2>\n[\/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”32″][vc_column_text]Eckerd College offers the physics major the opportunity to learn in an environment which is not fiercely competitive, where classes are small in size, and where interaction with faculty is encouraged.<\/p>\n

Enrollment in the introductory courses (Physics I and II) is usually between 20 and 30 students, while enrollment in upper-level physics courses is typically 5 to 10 students. Students are encouraged to form study-groups, where learning is enhanced both in the helping of others and in help received from other students.<\/p>\n

Laboratory work is done in small groups where teamwork is emphasized.<\/p>\n
