She has extensive touring experience, working at venues such as Radio City Music Hall and the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles. In addition to theatre management, design, painting, and construction, her true love is working with masks, puppetry, and the tradition of African dance. Besides teaching courses in theatre design, technology, and history, she has designed recently for American Stage (A TUNA CHRISTMAS and NOVEMBER, set design) and Studio@620 (BERRYMORE and A NIGHT OF ONE ACTS, costume design). She has also been recognized multiple times by the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival for excellence in design and technology. Jessica is inspired by her work with the uninhibited artists she collaborates with every summer at the Spoleto Festival in Charleston, SC as well as her students.
