Elie Wiesel was truly one of the greatest people I have had the privilege of knowing. I heard him speak to our freshman class in 1999 and took a class with him in 2004. He inscribed in my book, “To April, who knows and will tell.” If the world seems a little more somber or a little more melancholy today, it’s because one of the great voices, greatest lives of our time has left us. L’chaim, Dr. Wiesel. May you never be forgotten.
