We’re so excited about your continued interest in Eckerd and your desire to learn more about us! Our two-day Explore Eckerd College event will take place over three weekends this spring:

Sunday and Monday, March 3-4, 2024
Sunday and Monday, April 7-8, 2024
Sunday and Monday, April 21-22, 2024

A $50 per student non-refundable registration fee is required upon registration.

Tentative Explore Eckerd College Schedule

Check-In
12:00–12:30 p.m. | HOUGH QUAD
Visiting admitted students register for the weekend and receive schedule information. Parents will also receive information packets. While you wait, you can pick up some snacks on the patio or purchase lunch at Triton’s Pub.

Welcome Program – Your First Year at Eckerd College
12:45–1:30 p.m. | MILLER AUDITORIUM
Join Deans Marjorie Sanfilippo and Heather Vincent to find out more about Autumn Term, the Faculty Mentoring Program and unique first-year programs offered at Eckerd.

Campus Tours
1:30–3:30 p.m. | LEAVE FROM MILLER AUDITORIUM
An Eckerd student will lead a tour of campus for admitted students and their families. Tours are optional and will leave periodically.

Snack Break
3:30–4:00 p.m. | ACADEMIC QUAD
After your campus tour, you might want a snack to hold you over until dinner. Join us outside of Miller Auditorium for something to munch on before your Q&A panel. We will do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions. 

Student Life Panel (Students Only)
4:00–4:45 p.m. | ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES 100
Current students will field questions on what it’s like to be an Eckerd student. This is a chance to get to know some of our students in a fun and casual setting.

Current students and parents will field questions on what it’s like to be an Eckerd student and parent. This is a chance to get acquainted with our students and parents in a fun and casual setting.

Welcome Dinner

Join us in Fox Hall for dinner, where you can get to know some Eckerd students, other admitted students and their families.

Reception (Parents Only)
6:30–8:00 p.m. | JAMES CENTER FOR MOLECULAR AND LIFE SCIENCES
Parents are invited to join current Eckerd parents and faculty who will be available to answer questions about the Eckerd experience.

Evening Entertainment (Students Only)
6:30–8:00 p.m. | WATERFRONT COMPLEX
Join our Eckerd students for a bonfire, s’mores, music and other activities at the Waterfront.

Student Breakfast
8:00–9:15 a.m. | CAFÉ BON APPÉTIT, MAIN CAFETERIA
Students can enjoy breakfast in Café Bon Appétit’s main dining hall. 

President’s Breakfast (Parents Only)
8:15–9:45 a.m. | FOX HALL
Parents are invited to join President James J. Annarelli and members of the Executive Staff and Student Affairs for a casual discussion over breakfast.

Academic Experience (Students Only)
9:30–10:30 a.m.
Each student will have an opportunity to experience academics at Eckerd. Students, please arrive early to your class and introduce yourself to the professor. They will be expecting you. 

Financing an Eckerd College Education
10:00–10:30 a.m. | MILLER AUDITORIUM
Join Director of Financial Aid Kelly McGaughey and College Bursar Angie Noronow for a general overview of the billing, scholarship and financial aid processes. You may also stop by the Financial Aid Office before 5:00 p.m. with your questions.

Information Fair
10:30–11:30 a.m. | JAMES CENTER FOR MOLECULAR AND LIFE SCIENCES
Meet with faculty members to discuss our majors and academic opportunities. Learn about a variety of student-run clubs and organizations. Get your questions answered about financial aid, international education, counseling and health services, and service-learning. 

Farewell Lunch
11:45 a.m.–12:30 p.m. | FOX HALL
Join us one last time for lunch. To-go containers will be available for those who need to get on the road.
