It is necessary to register online for this event. Space is limited, so please register as soon as you are able. We ask that students please register for one event only (please note, the $50 registration fee is nonrefundable).

Sunday

Check-In
12:00 – 1:15 p.m. | HOUGH QUAD
Visiting admitted students register for the weekend and receive schedule information. Parents will also receive information packets. While you wait you can pick up some snacks on the patio or purchase lunch at Triton’s Pub.

Boat Rides
12:00 and 12:30 p.m. | WATERFRONT
Come learn about the many programs offered at Eckerd’s own waterfront and take a ride on beautiful Boca Ciega Bay. All registrants will receive an invitation to sign-up for a boat ride three weeks prior to the event date. Sunday boat rides are reserved for students only. Monday boat rides are available to students and families.

Join Professor Margie Sanfilippo to find out more about the Autumn Term, Faculty Mentoring Program and unique first-year programs offered at Eckerd.

Campus Tours
2:00 – 4:00 p.m. | MILLER AUDITORIUM
A current student will lead a tour of campus for admitted students and their families. Tours are optional and will leave periodically.

Snack Break
4:00 – 4:30 p.m. | MILLER AUDITORIUM PATIO
After your campus tour, we have a feeling you might want a snack to hold you over until dinner. Join us outside of Miller Auditorium for something to munch on before your Q&A panel. We will do our best to accommodate those with dietary restrictions.

4:30 – 5:30 p.m. | ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES AUDITORIUM
Current students will field questions on what it is like to be an Eckerd student. This is a chance to get to know some of our students in a fun and casual setting.

Parents are invited to join current Eckerd parents and faculty who will be available to answer questions about the Eckerd experience.

Evening Entertainment (Students Only)

Join our current students for a bonfire, s’mores, music and other activities at the waterfront.

Student Breakfast

Students can enjoy breakfast in Café Bon Appétit’s main dining hall. Remember to wear your name tag – this serves as your meal ticket! Make sure you give yourself enough time to find your classroom at 9:30 a.m.

President’s Breakfast (Parents Only)

Parents are invited to join President Eastman, members of the Executive Staff, and Student Affairs for a special presentation and casual discussion over breakfast.

Academic Experience (Students Only)

Each student will have an opportunity to experience academics at Eckerd. Students, please arrive early to your class and introduce yourself to the professor. He or she will be expecting you. Consult individual student schedule for the location of your class.

Financing an Eckerd College Education

Join Dr. Pat Watkins, Director of Financial Aid, and Angie Noronow, College Bursar, for a general overview of the billing, scholarship and financial aid processes. You may also stop by the Financial Aid Office until 5:00 p.m. with your questions.

Eckerd College Clubs, Organizations, & Accessible Education Services Mini Open House on the Quad
10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | HOUGH QUAD
Come learn about a small variety of Eckerd’s student-run clubs and organizations. Representatives from the office of Accessible Education Services and the Admission office will also be present to help answer questions for parents and students.

Meet with faculty members from all 40 areas of study at Eckerd College to discuss academic opportunities.

(Optional) Mini Tour of Galbraith Marine Science Center
12:00 – 12:30 p.m. | LEAVES FROM THE JAMES CENTER 
Students interested in Marine Science will leave Wrenn Hall at 12:00 p.m. for a tour of the Galbraith Marine Science Laboratory.

(Optional) Mini Tour of James Center Laboratories
12:00 – 12:30 p.m. | LEAVES FROM THE JAMES CENTER
Students interested in taking a more in-depth tour of our laboratories inside the James Center for Molecular Life Sciences will be led by a natural science faculty member starting at 12:00 p.m.
