Coming from abroad?

People from all over the world call Eckerd College home, whether they be an Eckerd College student, a professor or staff member, or a student at our on-campus ELS Language Center.

At Eckerd College, we have created a cohesive community of learners where cooperative learning and service to the community are emphasized, where we focus not only on academics but also your personal development as a whole.

Cross-cultural understanding is an integral part of an Eckerd College education. With more of our students studying abroad than any other college in the United States, international students find Eckerd College to be a very welcoming place! The International Student Services Office provides information and support for international students throughout the school year and beyond. Students with questions regarding visa processes, employment on or off campus, internships, etc., will find the support they need within this campus office.

Students here are curious about the world, eager to learn about other cultures and open to a diversity of viewpoints. The International Student Association (ISA) is one of our largest student organizations. Every year, ISA organizes campus wide events, such as the Festival of Cultures, which help celebrate our community's cultural diversity.

We hope that you have the opportunity to visit us and experience first hand what sets Eckerd apart from the rest. In the meantime, please explore the links below. You should find just about anything you might need in order to apply for admission, but of course if there's something you can't find or have a question on, feel free to contact us!
