Insurance
Medical Insurance is required for all international students at Eckerd College.
All full-time students are automatically enrolled in the Eckerd College United Health Care insurance for international students. The cost for this coverage is $575.00 for the academic year. Your student account is billed unless you provide Eckerd College with proof of an equivalent insurance. After a few weeks, you will receive an Insurance Card in your Eckerd mailbox. Note that you can download a temporary insurance card at any time from the Bollinger Website.
To decline the school coverage (this is only possible if you have an equivalent insurance plan) a signed Waiver Form must be submitted to the Bursar's office by the beginning of the school year. The Waiver Form is available for download and should be completed and returned to the Bursar's office.
We recommend that you familiarize yourself with the details of the insurance plan by accessing directly the insurance's website link : Health Insurance Plan Details.
Note: You could also get international insurance from other companies such as COMPASS or HTH. To know more detailed information check out their respective websites.
