Welcome to Eckerd! We have students from 48 states and 33 countries enrolled in our residential program, and nearly 1,100 students enrolled in our Program for Experienced Learners. In addition to more than 38 majors and academic programs, Eckerd College offers study abroad opportunities at over 100 institutions throughout the world and has led the nation in the percentage of students who have studied abroad in a single academic year. Annually, our students perform over 55,000 hours of service for agencies and organizations across the United States and in countries around the world.

And to those who believe in the value of lifelong learning, we offer executive education and leadership development through our nationally recognized Leadership Development Institute; Osher Lifelong Learning Institute; Elderhostel; and the Academy of Senior Professionals at Eckerd College. In 2001-02, my inaugural year, I identified five values that characterize Eckerd College: residential, global, spiritual, environmental, and personal. They may be, in the intensity of their combination here, in this place, unique. These are values that, we believe, engender intellectual, imaginative and spiritual freedom.
