About the Book/Lecture
In his book One World: The Ethics of Globalization, Prof. Singer challenges us to think beyond the boundaries of nation-states and to consider what a "global ethic" could mean in today's world. He addresses the obligations of the world's rich nations to assist the poor nations. The book encompasses four main global issues: 1) climate change, 2) the role of the World Trade Organization, 3) human rights and humanitarian intervention, and 4) foreign aid.
