posted on 11/27/2012

The Eckerd College Phi Beta Kappa chapter, Zeta of Florida, has named thirty members of the Class of 2015 as Peter Pav Freshman Scholars. This award is given to students based on outstanding academic performance and exemplary work throughout their first academic year at the college.

The 2011-2012 Pav Freshman Scholars were awarded certificates and were formally recognized at a reception earlier this month. The award is named after Peter Pav, professor emeritus of philosophy, a generous and long-time supporter of Phi Beta Kappa and the liberal arts.
