Student Research Symposium ASPEC/SunTrust Award Winners Announced

The Sixth Annual Student Research Symposium ASPEC/SunTrust Award winners have been announced.

The winners were selected from 34 poster and oral presentations that took place in the James Center for Molecular and Life Sciences earlier this month. The three winning groups will receive a $100 award and a certificate.

Best Oral Presentation, A Session

Winner - "Investigating bacterial communities in the Caribbean sponge Callypsongia vaginalis"

Judges included Academy of Senior Professionals at Eckerd College (ASPEC) members Jim Sweeny, Ph.D., John Ferguson, Ph.D., Jack Lillibridge, Rosamund Wendt and Larry Green, Ph.D. The awards were made possible through a SunTrust/ASPEC/Faculty Learning Grant.
