A special alumni invitational exhibition featuring former students of Professor of Visual Arts Brian Ransom. Among the participants are Casey McDonough '03, Ian Meares '00, Tom Judge '98, Ingram Ober '98, Matt Fisher '96, Nick Schwartz '98, Anne Holth '03, Taryn Sabia '01, and Rachel Fia '00.

Casey McDonough has served as apprentice to ceramist Don Reitz, and is now pursuing his MFA in ceramic sculpture at the Rhode Island School of Design.

Ian Meares was one of the youngest members to be elected to the board of trustees of the Florida Craftsmen Gallery, and was a founding Artist in Residence at the St. Petersburg Clay Company. Ian is now pursuing further study in ceramics as a post baccalaureate at Wichita State University.

Tom Judge earned his MFA in ceramics from the University of South Florida, and is now teaching ceramics both at USF and for PEL at Eckerd.

Ingram Ober earned his MFA in sculpture from the Claremont Graduate School and is now Assistant Professor of Sculpture at Palomar College in California.

Matt Fisher earned his MFA in painting from the Claremont Graduate School and until recently was teaching art at a private school in New York.

Nick Schwartz is a ceramist in California and co-founder and technical director of the Flynn Creek Circus in Comptche.

Anne Holth recently served as Artist in Residence at the Mendocino Art Center in California.

Taryn Sabia earned her MA in Art Education from Harvard University and also very recently her Masters of Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design.

Rachel Fia is one of three alumni who are among the past six winners of the coveted John Eckert Memorial Award, given annually at the statewide juried competition at the Arts Center of St. Petersburg.

The two other alumni winners of the John Eckert Memorial Award have been Ian Meares and Anne Holth. Matt Fisher and Taryn Sabia both worked with Brian Ransom as Ford Scholars while at Eckerd.
