Fiske Guide 2014 Recognizes Eckerd's Strengths in Business, Environmental Studies and International Studies
For a fourth year in a row, Eckerd College has been included in the 2014 revised and updated edition of the Fiske Guide to Colleges. This is the third time for Eckerd to be noted in Fiske's Guide for Preprofessionals for its strength in both business and international studies, and the fourth time for its strength in environmental studies.
In addition to touting its waterfront location, Fiske's profile highlights Eckerd's academic proficiencies, benefits of intergenerational learning with Academy of Senior Professionals at Eckerd College (ASPEC) members, the importance of studing abroad, and the wide range of on- and off-campus student life offerings.
Edward Fiske served for 17 years as education editor of the New York Times, where he realized that college-bound students and their families needed better information on which to base their educational choices. He is also the author of the Fiske Guide to Getting into the Right College. The Fiske Guide to Colleges 2014 is a selective, subjective, and systematic look at 300-plus of the best and most interesting colleges and universities in the U.S., Canada, and Great Britain.
