Welcome to Campus Safety & Security
Here at Eckerd College, providing a safe and carefree environment in which to live, learn and work is our main objective. But, a truly safe campus can only be achieved through the full cooperation of all the students, faculty, and staff. Those of us in the Office of Campus Safety and Security hope you will take the time to read this information as part of your responsibility in creating a safe environment for yourself and others on the campus.
The Office of Campus Safety and Security works closely with the Residence Life staff and Student Affairs to implement several new programs aimed at increasing student awareness and safety while decreasing criminal incidents.
Officers perform routine patrols of all dorm living areas, classrooms, and office areas on campus. I hope all students feel comfortable here. Anyone may address their concerns directly to me, the Director of Campus Safety and Security. We believe student input and feedback is an integral part of any effective policy, and as such encourage anyone to come in, visit and talk.
