Hi my name is George Garcia and I am the Associate Director for Diverse and Inclusive Recruitment. I am excited you are looking at Eckerd! Eckerd is a very unique place and attracts students from all around who value diversity and creativity, in fact, around 83% of our student population are from out of the state of FL! Just like the majority of our student population, I am also not from Florida! I am coming from New England, Boston, MA to be exact. Alongside many of our current students, I too enjoy traveling and learning about different cultures from around the world.
I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree from Dean College and with my MBA from Curry College, so I understand what it means to attend a smaller institution! With many years of experience in Liberal Arts and STEM focused colleges, I have experienced the many different positive facets of education. A small liberal arts school opens many opportunities for students and Eckerd can help students achieve anything they desire, and truly learn how to think outside.
