Career opportunities for an IA major would parallel those of the particular arts disciplines represented in the student’s individual program, and some chosen professions may require further education or specialized training.

Micah Bartelme ’08 is CEO and Principal of the BarStar Hospitality Group in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Avery Bradt ’10 is the owner and Creative Director of Blue Bird Studios LLC, a boutique agency in Austin, Texas.

Chris Brady ’22 is the Studio Manager at the Clay Co-op in St Petersburg.

Whitney Calametti ’08 is Lead Project Manager at DigiPro Media, LLC in Pensacola.

Reid Dawson ’15 is owner and Curator of Foundation Studios in the River Arts District of Asheville, NC.

Katie Doyle ’13 is Education Assistant and District Wildlife Manager at Colorado Parks and Wildlife.

Hailey Escobar-Collazos ’15 is a Screenwriter, Story Developer, Content Creator, and Marketing Manager in the Tampa Bay area.

Rachel Flynn ’23 is enrolled in the graduate program at SCAD.  One of her films, The Magic Fort, was featured in the Sunscreen Film Festival in St Petersburg / Clearwater in 2024.

Laura Kimball ’13 is a videographer for the College of Exploration in Washington. D.C.

Forrest Lewinger ’07 has developed a very successful ceramics business in Brooklyn, called Workaday Handmade.  His work was featured in this 2015 article in the New York Times.

Rylee MacArthur ’21 is Program Manager for International Teacher Exchange Services in Woodstock, Georgia.

Emily Mason ’11 is Assistant Editor at Warner Bros. Entertainment.

Anwen Morgan ’22 is now an Admissions Counselor at Eckerd College.

Alex Moxam ’10 is an attending psychiatrist and the Medical Director of the First Episode Psychosis Program at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Soph Sawyer ’25 is a comedian, actor and director now based in Los Angeles.

Emmet Scales ’19 is a Digital Media Coordinator at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater.

Shelby Smotherman ’15 earned her MA in Creative Writing at Stetson University, and is a writer, artist, and theatrical technician working in the Tampa Bay Area

Leonora Stefanile ’11 is a Garden Manager at the Dr. John Wilson Community Garden in Black Mountain, NC.

Aurelius Sutter ’22 earned his MFA in Book Arts at the University of Alabama, and is now a Press Manager for the Small Craft Advisory Press at Florida State University.

Sierra Toomey ’19 is a Digital Content Producer for the Natural Resources Council of Maine.

Spencer Verney ’10 attended the graduate program at the Academy of Florence and is now a landscape painter in Massachusetts.

Alex Morrison Wyant ’10 earned their MA in Contemporary Art Theory at Goldsmiths, University of London, and is now an independent museum professional in Austin, Texas.

Matt Walker ’13 is an improv artist, musician and designer in the Tampa Bay area.

Alec Ward ’19 is a Teaching Artist at Creative Clay in St Petersburg, and also the owner of his own art production business, Far Out Mojo.
