Printing

Student Print Accounts

All students receive a print allotment each year to print via their Papercut account. Learn more about your Papercut account with the following guides from ITS:

Sending Print Jobs

From Library PC:

  • Log into any library PC using your Eckerd account (username and password only; no need to include @eckerd.edu).
  • Open the document you would like to print and use the program’s print menu to send your document to the B/W or Color printers.
  • Proceed to the closest B/W or color release station and log in to release your print job.

NOTE: Printing is not available at the two standing kiosks by the circulation desk. Stop at the Circulation Desk for information about guest printing.

From your laptop:

  • Prepare your document to print as a Word, Excel, Powerpoint, or PDF file (or other designated files)
  • Log into papercut.eckerd.edu
  • Follow instructions to upload your documents to Web Print.
  • Once submitted, proceed to the closest release station to release your print job.

Copy Room (1st floor)

  • One black/white printer release station
  • One color printer release station

Library 24/7 Computer Lab (1st floor, along ramp entry to ITS)

  • Two black/white printer release stations
  • One color printer release station

Additional release stations can be found in the BES Computer Lab, Galbraith Marine Science Laboratory (GMSL), James Center, and Sigma.

Scanning

Several scanners are available throughout the library for use in scanning readings, images, and documents. Scanners can send files via email or be saved on an external USB flash drive. All scanners are self-service digitization/scanning stations.

KIC Click Mini Scanner

Location:

Adjacent to 1st Floor stairwell by individual study area

Features:

Best for: larger, flat documents, longer scanning projects.

KIC Bookedge Scanner

Location:
Copy Room (1st Floor)

Features:
Best for: Standing station for quick jobs. The slanted edge lets you scan bound books without damaging the binding.

B/W Copier Scanning

Location:
Copy Room (1st Floor)

Features:
Single item scanning or top feeder

Best for:
Automatically scanning multiple looseleaf pages at once
