Hi! I’m Cara, an Eckerd College alum originally from the northern suburbs of Chicago. I graduated in 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Science, and minors in Spanish and Art. During my time at Eckerd, I had the opportunity to conduct independent research, working alongside Dr. Cory Krediet, which is currently under review for publication. I spent multiple winter terms abroad traveling to Ecuador, the Galápagos Islands, and Salamanca, Spain. My experiences at Eckerd lead me to achieving my goal of living abroad, and post graduation I spent a year teaching English in Madrid, Spain.

Outside of work you can often find me swimming, running, or reading—let me know if you need a book recommendation! I love anything water-related and couldn’t be more grateful to live so close to the beach. I’m also an avid artist, and enjoy creating greeting cards for my friends and family in my free time.

While marine biology will always hold a special place in my heart, it is a great pleasure to help students determine if Eckerd is the right fit for them. I’m excited to have returned to Florida’s sunshine after my time abroad and to assist you as you navigate your college journey. As a proud member of Phi Beta Kappa and a firm believer in the value of a liberal arts education, I’m here to answer any questions you may have. Whether you’re curious about the application process or want to know more about life at Eckerd, don’t hesitate to reach out—I’m happy to help!

¡Hola! Soy Cara, y hablo tanto inglés como español. El año pasado viví en Madrid, España, donde enseñé inglés. Si necesitas asistencia en español, estaré encantada de ayudarte.
