Diane Ferris ’86 Memorial Gifts

On March 12, 2024, the Eckerd College family suffered a great loss with the unexpected passing of dear friend and long-time colleague Diane Ferris ’86. Diane was a member of the College staff since 1986 and served for 10 years as a coordinator in the Program for Experienced Learners. From 1997 until her retirement in 2021, Diane was the director of International Education. She returned to the College as a part-time staff member in Global Education in 2024.

Recognizing that no one has done more in recent decades to enhance the Global Education program at Eckerd, the College has established two funds in Diane’s memory: the Diane Ferris ’86 Endowment for London Study Centre, supporting the Gower Street study abroad program with which she was so closely associated, and the Diane Ferris ’86 Annual Scholarship for Study Abroad, which will support a student in their study abroad journey.
