Admission Counselor

Hello, my name is Nadia Plechaty and I am excited to be your Admissions Counselor! I recently graduated from Eckerd College and am honored to guide you through the admissions process and help you explore the countless opportunities Eckerd might have in store for you! I am originally from Colorado, and I am thrilled to be representing areas of the country that still feel like home.

During my time at Eckerd I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with three minors in psychology, human development, and public health. My academic journey at Eckerd was made rich with incredible mentorship from my professors that truly made me feel seen, challenged, and empowered in the classroom. The academic community at Eckerd is one that will allow you to feel free to explore what interests you most and challenge you to think critically and stretch your creativity.

Outside the classroom, I served as president of our Feminists club, completed the Peace Corps Prep program, and studied abroad twice; one Winter Term in Morocco and a semester in Ghana. The study abroad opportunities at Eckerd have something for everyone, and serve as an avenue to apply what you learn in the classroom out in a place that is completely unfamiliar to you.

Eckerd’s diverse campus opened my eyes to new cultures, people, and experiences that taught me just as much as my professors did. If you’re looking for a unique college experience that will push you to learn more about yourself in addition to your area of study, then Eckerd might be the place for you.
