Dr. Hilton’s research interests include applying computer science to accelerate scholarly research in the sciences and humanities, and physical computing (the building of interactive physical systems that use software and hardware to sense and respond to the analog world).

Before joining Eckerd, Professor Hilton was a research scientist for Procter & Gamble, a faculty member at The University of South Carolina, and an officer in the United States Air Force.

Outside of work, he enjoys creating things in his home workshop and spending time in the out-of-doors.
