Responsibilities

Eckerd College has designated Michelle Espinosa as the Title IX Coordinator to ensure compliance with Title IX, its implementing regulations, and other applicable federal and state laws. The Title IX Coordinator is also responsible for coordinating the College’s efforts with regard to Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1970 and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and their implementing regulations.

The Title IX Coordinator is responsible for the prompt and equitable resolution of all reports, investigations, and informal and formal resolutions under this Policy related to Title IX Sexual Harassment and other forms of discrimination.  The Title IX Coordinator coordinates supportive measures, ensures that the investigative and resolution processes are neutral and impartial, and acts to ensure that employees or external professionals involved in any resolution processes are free from conflicts of interest and/or potential bias.

Concerns of bias or a potential conflict of interest by any other administrator involved in the resolution process should be raised with the Title IX Coordinator.
