Briana Harvey rejoined the faculty at Eckerd in 2022. She previously taught in the Psychology department from 2015-2018. She is also a graduate of Eckerd College, receiving her Bachelors in Environmental Studies and a minor in Marine Biology. She went on to study animal behavior and received her M.A. from the University of Southern Mississippi in Experimental Psychology from the Marine Mammal Cognition and Behavior lab. After studying the social development of marine mammals for many years, she had three children of her own. This switched her interest to the social development of children and she went through two more years of schooling to become a certified Montessori directress for children 3-6 years old. Briana currently teaches Child development and Introduction to Psychology. She is passionate about teaching all ages and loves supporting Eckerd College Students.

In her free time, she enjoys watching her three children grow and explore their world, taking care of her zoo (dogs, cats, reptiles, & chickens) and family sunsets at the beach.
